Arsen Dalibaltayan

Arsen Dalibaltayan is a pianist acclaimed as "one of the most promising artists of the younger generation in the Balkan region" (Radio Sarajevo). Since making his orchestral debut at the age of  nine, he has performed extensively throughout Europe and Singapore, earning recognition for his artistry, musical depth, and maturity. 

A graduate of the University of Zagreb, he is the recipient of both the Chancellor's Award and the Dean's Award for his outstanding academic and artistic achievements. 

In 2025, Arsen won First Prize at the Isidor Bajić Piano Memorial Competition, followed by First Prize at the ArtePiano International Piano Competition in 2026. He is also a prizewinner of the A. Scriabin International Piano Competition and the D. Scarlatti International Piano Competition. 

He has appeared at festivals throughout Europe, including the Rheingau Musik Festival, VP Bank Classic Festival, Cultur in Cannstatt, Cantiere Internazionale d'Arte, Samoborska Glazbena Jesen, Večeri sv. Donata, and Splitsko ljeto among others. 

During the 2024/25 season, he was a resident artist of Residents MUZA, the joint project of the Vatroslav Lisinski Concert Hall and the Academy of Music, University of Zagreb. As part of the project, he presented a series of thematic concert programmes in Vatroslav Lisinski Concert Hall. 

Born in the family of musicians, Arsen began his piano studies at the age of five with his mother, Julia Gubajdullina. He completed his pre-college education under Jasna Reba at the Pavla Markovac School of Music in Zagreb before studying at the Academy of Music, University of Zagreb, with Ruben Dalibaltayan and Simon Trpčeski, and at the Mozarteum University Salzburg with Pavel Gililov. 

Since 2014, he has been a scholarship holder of the International Music Academy in the Principality of Liechtenstein, where he has participated in numerous intensive music weeks under the guidance of Milana Chernyavska, Pavel Gililov, and Claudio Martínez Mehner. He has also worked with distinguished pianists and pedagogues including Grigory Gruzman and Natalia Trull.
